Director of Improvement and Corporate Services

Up to £120,000

We are passionate about the difference local government can make. From supporting the most vulnerable in our society to supporting economic growth, we touch thousands of lives each day. In challenging times we have to be smarter in what we do, more commercial in our outlook and more innovative in how we think.

Central Bedfordshire is home to over a quarter of a million people and is predicted to grow considerably over the next decade. It's undoubtedly a great place to work and live. Working across the council you will help us achieve some of our key objectives: delivering a great customer experience, developing a ‘can-do' and commercial culture and realising the economic potential of Central Bedfordshire. You will be responsible for a range of corporate support functions that will help drive effi ciency and innovation throughout the organisation. We don't have a fi xed view on what you are currently doing or where you might be working. However, we expect that you will share our passion for the difference local government can make and have a successful track record in developing organisational culture and improving the internal infrastructure of a large, complex business.
