Director of Public Health to take a fresh approach to improving the health and well being of our community.

Creatively delivering change, you will work with colleagues across the Council and with our communities, the voluntary sector, public health teams, health services and clinical commissioning groups to build public health capacity across the whole system to ensure that we collectively deliver effective public health interventions
 

Additionally, this post includes responsibility for the management of a
shared public health team based in Stockton-on-Tees, which jointly delivers
services for the five local authorities within the Tees Valley. Accordingly, the
role presents an exciting opportunity to exert considerable influence at a
sub-regional level.

You will be an experienced and appropriately qualified public health
professional already working in a senior role in a similar local authority or
the NHS. An enthusiastic and visionary leader, you will have a passion for
significant challenges and a track record of delivering lasting results in public
health practice and excellent project, people and change management skills.
You will also have the drive and ability to promote public health as a universal
aspect of functions across the Council, managing related Council services, and thereby ensuring a fully integrated approach to this key area of work.
