WORKFORCE

Director Resources and Performance

More available for an exceptional candidate - Hertford.

Are you committed to building public services that are fit for the future? Can you foster innovation and develop ground-breaking partnerships? If so, Hertfordshire County Council has the role for you.

We have already made great strides towards annual savings of around £200 million by 2015, whilst delivering excellent services for our 1.1 million residents. However, there is more to do. As a creative individual you will drive genuine change in how we do business for the longer term.

To succeed in this role you will need to build strong relationships with our strategic partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors. By developing innovative solutions for our customers, you will secure the best possible services at the lowest cost. As part of the strategic management team, you will work with our political leadership to shape the future direction of the county. Your leadership will ensure that the workforce is fully engaged and committed to delivering the most significant change programme the council has ever seen.

As well as driving our transformation programme, you will lead a range of key corporate services: finance, property and IT, human resources, legal, democratic and registration, assurance and performance and procurement services. A qualified accountant, you will fulfil the statutory role of Chief Financial Officer, and have the necessary skills and experience to manage a large corporate function with associated commercial arrangements and complex budgets.

If you feel you have the right attitude, skills and experience to meet these challenges, please visit www.hertsleadership.com For a confidential discussion about the role, contact our advising consultant at GatenbySanderson Mark Turner on 020 7426 3983. Closing date: 1st February 2013.
