Disposing of waste

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) has secured £2.5m efficiency savings.

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) has secured £2.5m efficiency savings, equal to an average 3.7% cut in the levy charged to the five authorities across Merseyside, for household waste disposal.

Councils representing Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral will now pay a total of £65m a year for the service.
