The LGA teams with the Professional Mediators Association to research the uses of professional dispute resolution techniques.

The Local Government Association (LGA) has teamed up with national trade body the Professional Mediators Association to research the uses of professional dispute resolution techniques to remedy public complaints and workplace disputes.

Findings of the research will be published in late spring and discussed at a summer conference. 'There are benefits in terms of reduced costs, maintaining relationships and offering value for money,' said Sarah Messenger, head of workforce at the LGA.
