St Edmundsbury BC has agreed to offer a salary of up to £130,000 for its new chief executive. Councillors have voted to recruit a permanent replacement for Deborah Cadman, who is leaving to become head of the East Of England Development Agency (EEDA). Corporate director of resources, Jerry Massey, is also leaving the council to take up the post of director of regeneration and development at Norwich City Council. North East Lincolnshire Council chief executive, George Krawiec, is retiring at the end of this month, after more than 35 years in local government. Mr Krawiec joined the council in October 2004, and also spent seven years as the top officer at Southend-on-Sea BC. Fran Beasley, who is currently director of policy and resources at Westminster City Council, has been named as the new deputy chief executive at Hillingdon LBC. She will take up the post later this year. Nicola Yates, who is currently the top officer at North Shropshire DC, has been appointed as deputy chief executive at Hull City Council. She will replace Jan Ormondroyd, who was recently promoted to lead Bristol City Council.
