There's an old adage that we should seek to capitalise on any crisis and this is particularly relevant in these testing times.
My own council is using the current difficult climate as an opportunity to explore partnership options with Lancashire CC and its private sector partner BT. LCC and BT have established a joint venture company (JVC) which provides an opportunity for all Lancashire councils, along with other public sector bodies, to join in a shared service arrangement which covers a wide range of services including ICT and back office services.
