A unique opportunity has arisen to lead on exciting development opportunities in Bath and North East Somerset Council. The Council is striving for excellence in everything it does, from managing a World Heritage site to major regeneration schemes. The role of Divisional Director – Development is pivotal to that aspiration, our plans for the region and our determination to enhance the quality of life for our residents and visitors.

We are seeking candidates with substantial experience of leading and managing complex development scenarios (which encompass development control, building control, spatial planning and environmental and conservation interests) whilst also involving stakeholders in a complex environment and who can demonstrate innovative and ‘cutting edge' ways of thinking and behaviours.

The post is based in central Bath and the post holder will report to the Strategic Director, Place and will be a member of the corporate senior management team.
