Uttlesford DC is cracking down on residents who have not paid their council tax. In an initiative launched late last year, residents failing to pay their council tax are targeted with charging orders against property, deductions from earnings, use of bailiffs and prison sentences. So far six debtors have been targeted with the recovery of more than £10,000.
