Durham CC chief executive, ~Mark Lloyd~ has warned that the county may lose out under new government plans to develop a ‘city-region' covering Tyneside and the Tees Valley areas. Mr Lloyd told a Commons select committee it was better to leave local authorities to develop their initiatives to attract investment and jobs.
