The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has awarded IT services firm Atos two major contracts to deliver the ‘personal independence payment' from April 2013.

Atos Healthcare will conduct the DWP-designed assessments – part of plans to replace the disability living allowance – in areas covering Scotland, north-east England, north-west England, London and southern England.
