The Environment Agency (EA) has claimed the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme is set to reduce carbon emissions by 50% more than originally estimated. A new EA report said the scheme could potentially reduce CO2 emissions by 11.6mt – compared to the 7.5mt that was originally forecasted. EA chairman, Lord Chris Smith, said: ‘Carbon reduction needn't be complicated or expensive.'
