Just 9% of Britons expect their local economy to be in a stronger position in six months' time, according to research by Ipsos MORI.
The pollster organisation released research conducted across 24 countries on 29 August, which indicated that only residents of France were less optimistic about their local economy than the British.Just 3% of French residents believe that their local area's economy will be in a healthier state next year.
