The leader of Eden DC claims he has ‘nothing to hide', following his arrest in a fraud investigation. Independent councillor, Colin Nineham, was arrested at his home in Tynefield Road, Penrith, on 13 August on suspicion of conspiracy to commit fraud and fraudulent trading. A 40-year-old woman, a 42-year-old man and 39-year-old man, all from Penrith, were also arrested in connection with the same investigation by trading standards officers. He was released on bail until 30 November.
