Shared service efficiencies will normally save just 20% of back office costs, and 40% in a best-case scenario, according to a new report by the New Local Government Network (NLGN) think-tank.
The findings are outlined in a report released today by the NLGN, titled Shared necessities: The next generation of shared services.
