The joint venture between IT firm Agilisys and Barking and Dagenham LBC, Elevate, is poised to take on more of the local authority's services.
More than 70 council staff will transfer to the partnership by the beginning of April, as it expands to include HR, payroll and asset management. The council's divisional director of assets and commercial services, Sue Lees, has also transferred to Elevate as its chief executive.
