Call to employ hackers to 'show us how its done'

The military's head of cyber security says hackers who access defence systems and show how they did it, should be rewarded.

Computer hackers who break into defence systems and then show the security services how they did it should be paid rewards, the military's head of cyber security has suggested.

Major general Jonathan Shaw pointed to a similar scheme on Facebook – which has paid out £6,786 to nine people across the UK – calling it the kind of ‘wacky idea we need to bring in'.
