Essex CC has called for employers to be able to shape skills and learning courses, as part of its evidence to the All- Party Parliamentary Group on local growth.
‘We want to make sure that the courses and qualifications on offer to learners are the ones that lead to jobs and fulfilling careers, which is why it is important to ask employers to help us direct what those courses should be,' said cabinet member for education, Cllr Stephen Castle.
