Local government employers have rubbished trade union claims that councils face a barrage of legal claims over their redundancy programmes.
Jan Parkinson, managing director of Local Government Employers, said a report published by Unison on whether councils had completed equality impact assessments (EIA) on their job-loss plans was based on data before the current round of spending cuts.
