Local authority employers have backed ministers' proposal to slow the pace of fire-fighters' pension contribution increases.
The DCLG last week published its full response to its consultation on the Firefighters' Pension Scheme last week, and has opted to reduce the rate at which staff contributions will increase over the next few years.
