The energy company E.ON is pledging to work with local authorities and spend a £1m a day over the next two years making homes more energy-efficient.
Speaking to The MJ, E.ON's head of obligations, Nigel Dewberry, said his firm is 'on target' and spending £1m a working day on improvements. 'To local authorities, the offer is to work with us in partnership, help us identify houses which need this work carried out and we will provide the majority of the necessary funding,' said Mr Dewberry.
