Telford and Wrekin Council has joined forces with Carillion to create the £30m Telford Energy Savers programme.
The scheme is linked to the Government's Green Deal programme and will help households make their homes more energy-efficient. 'Our local suppliers will have more business, they will recruit more people and the green economy will support more jobs of all types,' said cabinet member for housing, Cllr Charles Smith.
