The Government is not planning on hitting English councils that have failed to roll out separate food waste collections to all homes with judicial reviews, The MJ has learnt.

Whitehall sources had suggested before the beginning of April deadline that public authorities that did not comply with the statutory duty were at risk of judicial review.
