The innovative Housing First programme has become an established model in London, a website showing services for homeless people across the capital has revealed.
Research gathered for the London Atlas showed that the volume of spaces in Housing First projects, which seek to end homelessness by providing people with a stable home as a starting point for rebuilding their lives rather than something they must earn through treatment of behaviour change, has grown significantly – from 380 in 2023 to 644 this year.
