The Local Government Association (LGA) is not currently taking forward a proposal for a cyber attack insurance scheme, it has confirmed.

Discussions about the idea had been held between the LGA and Jon McGinty, chief executive of Gloucester City Council, which was hit by a ransomware attack four years ago.
