The Labour-led Local Government Association (LGA) has tightened public access to a key meeting, The MJ has learnt. 

Changes to ‘strengthen governance' at the LGA, including replacing its executive advisory board with a strategic policy oversight committee (SPOC) overseeing the development of policy and reviewing risks, took effect in September at a pivotal time for the organisation.
