The Local Government Association (LGA) is now proposing axing just six full time equivalent (FTE) posts, it has emerged.

It had been considering cutting 11.5% FTE posts, slashing its workforce from 540 to 478, as part of its original restructure plans but its consultation response said it now wanted to reduce its staffing numbers to 534 FTE positions – around a tenth of the 62 it had planned to lose.
