A vice-chair of the Local Government Association (LGA) has called for the geographies of the ‘less successful' strategic authorities to be reviewed before further devolution happens.
Leader of the LGA's Lib Dem group Bridget Smith told The MJ: ‘Before further devolution happens the geography of the less successful combined authorities should be reviewed to optimise opportunities to accelerate sustainable regional growth in meaningful economic area[s].'
