Councils are ‘on the brink of staffing crisis’ due to their ageing workforce, public sector trading organisation Commercial Services Group (CSG) has warned.

Councils are ‘on the brink of staffing crisis' due to their ageing workforce, public sector trading organisation Commercial Services Group (CSG) has warned.

CSG said councils were struggling to recruit younger workers, with fewer than one in 20 local authority staff aged under 25.
