Sussex chief executives have warned Whitehall reorganisation delays create ‘real risks around timescales, capacity and the ability of councils to plan effectively for transition'.

Local government secretary Steve Reed said last month he had not reached a decision ‘due to concerns regarding all four of the proposals I received' and was ‘considering modifications' that could require further consultation.
