EXCLUSIVE: Two unions reject pay offer

Trade unions Unison and Unite have both rejected the employers’ offer of a 3.3% pay increase.

Trade unions Unison and Unite have both rejected the employers' offer of a 3.3% pay increase.

Unite national officer Clare Keogh said: ‘Our members have been clear for years that they cannot accept any more real terms pay cuts and this offer is below RPI [retail price index], as well as far short of the pay claim [£3,000 rise or an increase of 10%].
