Executive Head of Transformation

£68,590 – £80,190 per annum, plus benefits

Based Camberley, Surrey

Surrey Heath Borough Council is seeking an Executive Head to pro-actively lead the Transformation function. This could be by way of either improving internal provision, creating effective partnering arrangements or by external provision, by actively exploring all avenues available to Local Government for more diverse and cost-effective ways of delivering services.

You will aid the council in thriving in the current economic climate by being innovative, entrepreneurial and a confident decision maker at the highest level. You will be comfortable taking calculated risks which will deliver what the public want at prices they can afford and making prudent decisions in times of austerity.

You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise and develop significant business partnerships, both internally and externally. An inspirational proven leader with business acumen and drive who, has the ability to set strategic direction for a variety of staff from different professional backgrounds as well as inspiring, encouraging, motivating and supporting staff.

As a member of the Management Board you will sustain and promote our local economy and support economic development in the borough. A key role will be promoting and co-ordinating regeneration projects including Camberley and the wider communities. You will also be responsible for managing the Council's ICT effectively and finding creative opportunities to encourage cost saving initiatives.
