A study of the candidates for police and crime commissioners has revealed that almost half are current or former councillors.
Analysis published by the Local Government Association (LGA) also reveals the key campaign policies for the forthcoming elections include supporting neighbourhood policing and victims of crime, and tackling anti-social behaviour.
