Birmingham City Council has launched a pioneering academy for newly-qualified and experienced social workers, as well as students hoping to join the profession.

The Birmingham Social Work Academy has been developed in partnership with the University of Birmingham to increase the level of professional expertise within the city, by raising standards and improving recruitment and retention of staff.
