London mayor, Boris Johnson, has been asked to explain whether the decision to place the capital’s former tourism body, Visit London, into administration could lead to staff losing accrued pension rights.

London mayor, Boris Johnson, has been asked to explain whether the decision to place the capital's former tourism body, Visit London, into administration could lead to staff losing accrued pension rights.

Concerned London Assembly members have written to Mr Johnson demanding an explanation of the ‘risk' to ‘accrued pension rights'. It follows the decision to place Visit London into administration on 1 April. London and Partners, which has replaced Visit London as the mayor's promotional body for the capital, has claimed it has no responsibility for Visit London's pensions liabilities.
