WORKFORCE

Finance & Procurement Manager (Staffordshire Moorlands and High Peak Councils)

With a shared management team in place since 2009 we've always been ahead of the game. If you feel that you've taken your current role as far as you can, consider working across two high performing councils that can offer you twice as much.

You'll act as the lead for financial management across both authorities, identifying opportunities to deliver even more efficiencies in how we work and ensuring that both authorities explore all economies of scale that our partnership can offer. Both councils retain full financial sovereignty, so you will work closely with both sets of political administration, providing expert professional advice and accurate, timely financial reporting and budgeting.

A qualified accountant, it's important that you possess strong technical skills. But your operational expertise should be complemented by effective management of people and resources and an emerging capacity for strategic financial leadership. A flexible approach and an appetite to grow and develop your management and leadership experience will be key to making the most of this opportunity.
