Social housing and maintenance provider, Mears Group, has stepped in to provide Croydon LBC with practical support in the form of repairs and preventative measures in the aftermath of widespread looting.
Following disturbances on the night of Monday 8 August, Mears staff met with council officials to offer help cleaning up wreckage, boarding up damaged buildings, undertaking other repairs, and taking preventative measures such as boarding up damaged buildings at risk of future attack.
