Three firms have signed up to provide social housing as part of a joint Treasury and DCLG initiative to attract more private sector investment.
Economic secretary, Chloe Smith, and housing minister, Grant Shapps, have published a consultation on changes to real estate investment trusts, so they can be used for private investment in social housing.
