Cheshire CC has appointed three investment managers to take over responsibility for Cheshire Pension Fund assets totalling £330m. As the administering authority for the fund, which has some 67,400 members and is worth £2.25bn, Cheshire has appointed Henderson Global Investors, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Baillie Gifford to actively manage fixed-income mandates. The appointments follow a major review of the fixed-income component of the fund's portfolio. Cheshire administers the fund for its own employees, six Cheshire district council employees, and staff at Warrington and Halton Councils.
