Football superstar David Beckham this week lit the Olympic Torch after it entered the UK, in advance of an 8,000-mile trip around the islands that will culminate in the opening ceremony at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford in July.
Day three of the Torch route was marred by controversy after the flame was somehow extinguished as it passed through rural Devon. .
