Doncaster Rovers Football Club looks set to take over the local Keepmoat Stadium from Doncaster MBC, after the two organisations agreed to finalise plans for a 99-year lease.
Under the deal, the club will pay the local authority an inflation-linked £100,000 a year for a 99-year lease on the site. Doncaster mayor, Peter Davies, explained that the £32m stadium was built in 2006, with the local authority funding £30m of the project.
