Football legend hopes to score for Labour

Dunfermline Athletic FC legend, Jim Leishman, is to stand in May’s local government elections as a Scottish Labour candidate.

Dunfermline Athletic FC legend, Jim Leishman, is to stand in May's local government elections as a Scottish Labour candidate, the party announced on Monday.

Mr Leishman has been selected as one of two candidates to contest the Dunfermline Central ward. He currently serves as director of football for the Pars where, as manager, he won the Scottish first and second division titles.
