Former civil servant to get top council job

Bath & North East Somerset Council is expected to appoint its director of sustainable communities, Sophie Broadfield, as its chief executive from January.

Bath & North East Somerset Council is expected to appoint its director of sustainable communities, Sophie Broadfield, as its chief executive from January.

Former civil servant Broadfield will replace Will Godfrey, who is retiring at the end of next month after six years at the council.
