A former Local Government Association Labour group leader has been appointed Parliamentary under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

A former Local Government Association Labour group leader has been appointed Parliamentary under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

Labour MP for Barking Nesil Caliskan had been a government whip since September.
