Forward-thinking chief executives developing their organisations to be fit for the future are leading the way above other council bosses, an IDeA report has found. Faster, fitter and more flexible, launched at this year'sLocal Government Association conference, was compiled by the IDeA to ‘promote best practice ideas about developing robust authorities for the future'. Chief executives from South Tyneside and Tameside MBCs, Brighton and Hove City Council, Great Yarmouth BC, Cambridgeshire CC and Brent LBC gave their input for the report. It found these chief executives know how to harness enthusiasm, commitment and great ideas from staff and the community, to move their council forward.
