Free bailiff services proposed for councils

CTA Partners will provide free offer to local authorities in a bid to cut the use of bailiffs by half by 2016.

Financial mediation expert CTA Partners has announced it will offer its services to local authorities in a bid to cut the use of bailiffs by half by 2016.

The firm is offering a free service to councils as an alternative to traditional bailiff enforcement.

‘By dealing with major bailiff companies, including Equita, Ross & Roberts and Rossendales, we've been able to stop their action and negotiate sensible repayment plans on behalf of clients,' said CTA founder, Chris Richards.

‘We're now turning things on their head and offering to work free of charge with the local councils, directly.'
