Twenty-four MPs have signed up to an early day motion to protect free travel for all under-18s in London in full-time education. The motion was tabled after a proposal by London Assembly member, Angie Bray, to abolish the scheme which benefits 385,000 young Londoners was supported by some assembly members and MPs. London mayor Ken Livingstone said those in favour of the abolition ‘should be ashamed'.
