Normandy veterans have joined forces with schoolchildren from Neath to create an exhibition of memories and experiences. Pupils from local schools took part in the project to gather together material which would highlight the sacrifices made by the veterans for today's freedom. Neath Port Talbot CBC's education cabinet member ~John Rogers~ said: ‘I applaud the good work the pupils have carried out and I thank the veterans for helping us get the message across to children that it is because of the sacrifices made by previous generations that we are all able to enjoy the freedom and security which is often taken for granted today.'
