Gloucester City Council has proposed a fresh structure for an expanded finance team after its external auditors issued statutory recommendations.

Auditors last year urged the council to ‘urgently review' its finance team to ‘ensure that there is sufficient capacity and capability to support the breadth of its activities, including the preparation of accurate financial information to support informed decision making and to meet statutory reporting obligations'.
