Fresh funding needed

Devolution in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire must be aimed at securing fresh local funding for transport, skills and business support, a report backed by MPs has suggested. Effective devolution must include the whole of the region, should focus on ‘making politics more straightforward' and must involve new financial freedoms, the authors warned in a report published yesterday.
